Dan Celia: This Week’s Numbers and the Money Flow Around the World

PHILADELPHIA—Nationally syndicated host and biblical investing authority Dan Celia discusses the state of the market for the week, as well as remarked on the flow of money worldwide and how that might affect America.

Celia stated, “Thursday was good day in the market—something we haven’t seen in quite some time. The Dow was up one and a half percent, with the S&P at one point seven and the NASDAQ at one point seven as well. The Russell 2000 was up at four percent, and this is all very, very good news. The Volatility Index was down as well. Unfortunately, oil was up at one point three percent. We’re over 81 a barrel, with Brent crude oil getting very close to 85. Gas was up another one percent on Thursday as well.

“When we look at just some of the economic data that came out on Thursday, one of the key pieces was producer price index. We were expecting zero-point seven percent, but it went up a half of one percent. The producer price index, along with consumer price index, have both been going up this week and a half of one percent is not necessarily a good number.”

Celia continued, “The other thing worth noting is there is so much money out there. It is unbelievable. The flow of money and the money supply is extremely high, including the money supplies around the world. It’s almost hard to believe that we could see markets go down, even in the midst of our economy, because the money’s got to find somewhere to go and it will most likely find the U.S. markets. I hope the federal reserve seriously considers raising rates sooner rather than later—if we can get a stronger dollar out of all of this money flowing into the markets, it would be a great benefit.”

Celia discusses these and other global and economic headlines on his daily, three-hour Financial Issues program, heard on more than 660 radio stations and several television networks nationwide, including FISM.TV, viewed on several post-cable television platforms and online.
